Events | New York Baby Show

On May 16-17th the New York Baby Show took over Pier 92 in Manhattan. I'm always surprised at the sheer size of this event! It's the largest of it's kind with a huge array of classes, speakers, giveaways and brands showcasing products for new and expectant parents.

I attended a seminar hosted by Hollie Shultz, owner of Baby Gizmo and had the chance to speak with her afterwards. She is incredibly knowledgable about the baby product market, it was a treat to meet her!

Here are a few favorites of mine from the show...

The MyNatural Plant-Based Eco Teether from Greenpoint Brands. There are so many teethers on the market but with this one there's no need to worry about what your baby is chewing on to relieve their sore gums. It is all natural, free of BPA, PVC, Latex, and Phthalates. They also happen to be super cute, soft and easily manipulable for small hands. It's a win-win for baby and the environment.

Wow, this is genius! The first thing I thought when I saw the Sureshop Bag from Hatch Things was the very cliche, "why didn't I think of that?" Anyone who has pushed a stroller knows how much of a problem hanging bags can be when it comes to flipping strollers. This bag is cleverly designed to clip onto the sides of a stroller, therefore keeping it upright when your kiddo hops out.

I have found some really great sleep sacks at the New York Baby Show the past few years! This one from Woolino is wonderful for many reasons. Firstly, it is made from merino wool which works to regulate baby's body temperature and prevent overheating. Secondly, my favorite thing about this sleep sack is it's versatilely. Not only is it meant to be worn in all four seasons, it comes in one size that fits from 2 months to 2 years old, making it the most practical and convenient sleep sack I have found on the current market.
