The New York Baby Show was bigger and better than ever this year. It's always fun to walk the floor of this giant event and see all the new baby gear that's fresh to the market. As I do each year, I've round-up a few of the products I was most impressed with, either items that are brand new or have been improved and updated since the previous show.
1. There are a lot of new strollers on the market this year including some really innovative ones like the Austlen Entourage and the gorgeous luxury strollers from Silver Cross . But if you're looking for a stroller made with a lot of thoughtful features at a very reasonable price point than the OXO Tot Cubby is for you. The Cubby is relatively lightweight, weighing in at 19 lbs. (the plus model is slightly heavier at 22 lbs), has an easy one-handed open and fold, roomy storage and a giant canopy. It can also be used from birth as a travel system with certain Graco and Chicco car seats.
2. The Ovo High Chair from Micuna caught my eye at last year's show. It's super stylish and streamlined, perfect for small spaces. While it's gorgeous, I personally feel the original off-center tray is too small and challenging for children to use when learning to feed themselves. That being said, Micuna just announced they are coming out with a larger tray which was shown at this year's New York Baby Show. There are no photos online yet but stay tuned!
3. I love products that grow with baby and can be used over a long period of time. So of course I was smitten with the new Free-to-Grow Baby Carrier from Tula Baby. What I like most about this carrier is how easy it is to adjust the width and height to accommodate a growing baby. You can start using it when baby is only 7 lbs without the need for an infant insert and it holds a child all the way up to 45 lbs.
